Recycling in San Antonio is not only critical to our City’s overall sustainability, it is the better choice financially. It costs more to send a ton of material to the landfill than to the recycling facility. Our recycling program has some guidelines and you can learn to recycle right – right here.

Recycling at Fiesta

Each year at Fiesta, The Solid Waste Department provides recycling at the Battle of the Flowers and Fiesta Flambeau parades. We have many stations along the parade routes.

We distribute bags into the stands and when people fill them up with recyclable bottles and cans, they bring them to a station and get one of our Fiesta medals free!

So next Fiesta, organize your class, troupe, team, neighbors and clubs to turn out at the parades, look for our stations and start earning medals.
