The Department has over 735 employees and each contributes to the organization in their own unique way. It is not unusual to meet people who have been employed by the City for 20, 30 sometimes 40 years.

Solid Waste is a not-for-profit enterprise. We are not concerned with share prices, profit margins, sales numbers or beating the competition. We have the ability to focus on only one priority – serving our community.
