Requirements for Multi-Family Property Owner/Manager

  1. Implement a recycling collection service that meets the following:
    1. Recycling collection as convenient as garbage collection
    2. No overflow from recycling containers
    3. Have a recycling container next or close to every available trash container (see image)
    4. Recycling containers of similar size or offer similar capacity as trash containers
    5. All recycling containers have signage that indicate it is for recyclables
    6. All recycling containers have signage that indicate accepted recyclables
  1. Provide new and existing residents information on the following:
    1. Location of recycling containers
    2. Type of containers accepted
    3. Any changes to recycling collection services 
  2. Submit a new registration form whenever one of the following occurs:
    1. Change in the ownership or management
    2. Change in recycling hauler
  3. If elect to self-haul recyclables to a material recovery facility, must submit an annual report with the following:
    1. Total number of living units
    2. Total tons of recyclable material collected
    3. Name(s) and address(es) of material recovery facility to which recyclable were taken
